Description of our house
My apartment is sunny and bright, comfortable, nicely decorated in pastel colors and easy to clean. The bedroom has a big size bed and there's a full size sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is modern with major appliances. The balcony overlooks the mountains and gets the morning sun. The building is like a club with a swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, restaurant/coffee shop, jogging track, fitness room, laundry room, 24h concierge and beautiful gardens.Good quality linen and towels will be provided to guests.

Our neighborhoodWe're about 3 blocks away from Barra beach (with its front beach restaurants and bars) and within walking distance to 2 malls, supermarkets and extensive public transportation. Barra is a very trendy part of Rio with several malls, movie theatres, restaurants of all sorts and fun night life. Also, its location between the beach, the mountains, several lagoons and a couple of nature reserves provides an infinity of outdoor activities such as water sports, hiking and horse back riding. We're about 30 minutes away from the major Rio de Janeiro tourist points such as Copacabana and Ipanema beaches,Sugar Loaf Mtn., Corcovado and downtown Rio.

Something about ourselvesI'm Aline (55), I work for the City of Rio as an editor and also own a travel agency. My roomate Carla (38) is originally from Portugal, she has a degree in Tradicional Chinese Medicine and especializes in acupuncture.Like me, Carla enjoys travelling whenever possible. We share the apartment with Germain,a giant and adorable 8 year old lab who goes to "grandma" whenever we're away. We are a conscientious and considerate couple of ladies who will treat your home with the utmost care and respect as we'd expect you to treat ours.
