Description of our house
Cape Cod is a favorite tourist destination. Beaches are on both sides of the peninsula with white sand and crystal blue waters. Many parks, forest, harbours, ferry boats to Nantucket island and Martha's Vineyard island. Whale watching, seal watching, dolphins, aquarium, museums, art galleries, theater, movies, bike path, hiking trails, golf, tennis, fine restaurants, fresh lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, the best seafood straight from the fisherman, excellent shopping, boutiques, fashion, many artist studios. We live in the center of Cape Cod, in the town of Barnstable which has seven villages. Our village is ten minutes from Hyannis by car. Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood, but not far from all the tourist attraction and summer activities. The rooms are spacious, bright and airy with morning and afternoon sun. Our neighborhoodThe closest major city is Boston, Massachusetts about 100 km or 60 miles. Also Providence, Rhode Island is a historical city and it is the same distance from the Cape. One could either drive or take the bus. CAPE COD is a treasure and people come here to relax, get inspired, and revel in our arts and culture. Cape Cod provides you with a peace of mind and lets you explore winding nature trails, hidden artist studios, walk pristine beaches, watch the fishing boat return and unload their daily catch. Cape Cod has many small villages and we enjoy a carefree country life here for ten month of the year. Thousand of tourists come every summer and it is very crowded in July and August. It is best to avoid July and August and vacation here the other ten month. Cape Cod is a peninsula and two bridges allow for entering the Cape. There is very little public transportation. Hyannis is commercialized and has a bus terminal with buses leaving to Boston, Providence, New York and Maine. The Cape has three sections, Upper Cape, Mid Cape and Lower Cape. We live on Mid Cape at Exit 5 from the Cape Highway. The ocean is five minutes from our house and watching the sunset is spectacular, not to be missed. It is a photographer's paradise. At the end of our street the Audubon Society has hundreds of acres of land with hiking trails to a beautiful pond with ducks and birds. We hike there to relax and enjoy nature.

Something about ourselvesI was born in Luebeck, Germany and came to the US to visit my brother. It turned out to be a long visit. My three children were born in the US and are married and live a long distance away. I would visit my parents every year in Luebeck with my children. We have traveled to Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, France, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Morocco, Costa Rica, Equador, Argentina, Chili and Hawaii. We still have many places left to see. We love nature, music, sport and meeting people all over the world. I love gardening and I have a beautiful flower and vegetable garden. We enjoy living in a friendly neighbourhood where everybody waves and says "hello."
